Overhead Door Opener Error Code Safe-T-Beam red LED flashing: Meaning and Fix

Also shown as: Red sensor light blinking
Reading the opener display
A garage door opener reports faults through blinking LEDs on the motor head, a diagnostic window on the logic board, or the wall control. Count the flashes slowly and repeat the count before you decide what you saw. Overhead Door uses red and green LEDs; note which color is flashing and how many times.
Overhead Door openers (Legacy and Odyssey lines) report problems through red and green LED patterns on the powerhead. Count the blinks of the color that is lit and match them to the table. The codes apply to model numbers such as Legacy 850 and Legacy 920; check the label on your unit to confirm yours.
