LG Dryer Error Code PS: Meaning and Fix

Reading the dryer display
On a dryer the code shows in the time-remaining window or as blinking status lights. Write down the characters before you press anything, because starting a new cycle usually clears the display. LG codes are short letter pairs; a capital O differs from a zero.
LG appliances show short alphabetic codes (OE, IE, UE on washers, Er plus letters on refrigerators) and, on ThinQ models, a Smart Diagnosis option. LG also builds many Kenmore Elite units. The codes apply to model numbers such as LDF7774ST, LDT5678SS and DLEX3900B; check the label on your unit to confirm yours.
What causes PS
- Surge or brownout on the circuit
- Loose connection at the plug
- Breaker tripped
How to fix it
- Turn the dryer circuit breaker off for at least 10 seconds.
- Turn it back on.
- Check the outlet for looseness and the plug for heat marks.
- Run a short cycle to confirm.
- If the dryer still does not heat, request a repair.
