Samsung Washer Error Code OE: Meaning and Fix

Also shown as: 0E, OC, 0C, 1 OC, 1 0C
Reading the washer display
On a washer the code appears on the digital display or as a pattern of flashing cycle lights. Note it exactly, including any dashes or sub-codes, then unplug the washer for five minutes and run a short drain cycle to see whether it returns. Samsung codes combine a digit with a letter, and some alternate with the cycle time.
Samsung displays numeric-plus-letter codes such as 4C, 5E or 21E, and many models run a Smart Care self-check through the app. Washers and dryers often use letter pairs, refrigerators use number plus E. The codes apply to model numbers such as DW80R5061US, DW80K7050US and DV45T6000EW; check the label on your unit to confirm yours.
What causes OE
- Water level pressure switch fault
- Suds read as extra water
- Inlet valve passing water while idle
- Drain restriction
How to fix it
- Switch the washer off and watch whether water keeps entering the tub.
- Close the supply faucets; if the level stops rising, the inlet valve is leaking through.
- Clean the drain pump filter and make sure the hose drains freely.
- Run an empty cycle without detergent to rule out suds.
- Restart after a minute without power.
- Replace the inlet valve or pressure switch depending on what the checks show.

Questions
Can a bad inlet valve cause OE?
Yes. A valve that does not seal keeps feeding water even when the washer is idle.
Should I shut off the water?
Yes, close the faucets whenever you suspect the valve is passing water.
Is it dangerous?
It is mainly a water-damage risk. Unplug the washer before opening any panels.
